"Inherit the Wind"

Tonight, RMU had it's opening night of "Inherit the Wind". I ushered for it, but I wish I hadn't.

Back in December, I had auditioned for this show, but didn't get cast. Oh well, I still had to go see it. So I did. And I ushered, like I had at "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" about a year ago.

Anyhow, we had a large crowd tonight. A large number of students from Hopewell and Montour High students came tonight. The show itself went well. The actors themselves did a wonderful job. The only downside was adding parts of a recent trial, very similar to the trial, the play was about. this brought on a little confusion to me. Oh well, I still enjoyed it.

The reason I wish I hadn't ushered was because after the show, Barbara Burgess-Levefbre, made me sweep the auditorium , which had a shit-load of popcorn on the floor. After that was done, I told John Locke, that I wouldn't usher any shows if popcorn was served.

Barbara's philosophy: My payment for sweeping the floor, was that I would get to go the the Opening Night cast party (The Ground Round Trip). The cast of the show, has already busted their butts for six weeks, to go.

So I went. And had a good time there.

Oh well, later...
