Camp Weekend: Moonlight Football, A long run, and Superbowl Party
I'm writing this edition of "Camp Weekend", after drinking 5 beers, and watching the Steelers win the Superbowl, 21-10.
So, anyway, onto Camp...
This weekend had a triple theme: Valentine's Day, Superbowl XL, and The 2006 Winter Olympics. We did numerous arts and crafts, of all of those three themes, during the course of the weekend.
Anyhow, after campers were put to bed Friday Night, Zach and Mitch led a game of Moonlight football, on the hill near snavely. I played, but I think I may have disgraced Ben Roethlisberger, playing badly, and wearing his jersey at the same time.
Sorry Ben.
Anyhow, Saturday, Nicole and Laurie challenged me to run around the mile-long Kon-o-Kwee Discovery Loop, without stopping, saying I'd have to shower every male camper if I lost the bet. I won, but my legs are sorer than shit right now.
Despite my tiredness from the one and a half mile run, I still accompanyed campers on a hike around the same loop, I ran around. Probably made me sorer.
Ouch!
Then we all shared a Superbowl cake, and called it a day for the campers, and Sunday, we all, I mean, most of us went home to watch the Superbowl.
It was close, and I got really nervous, but the Steelers had their first Superbowl win in 26 years.
Here we go, Steelers!
So, now, I'm probably going to be severly hung-over, tomorrow, but I still have a noon class to go to. Oh, well, that's not too early.
Untill next time...
