An un-boring weekend in Zelienople.

Now, for years, I have considered my neighboring town of Zelienople to be 'boring'. Now, a lot of my friends from elementary school days reside in that area, but there's little "fun" stuff to do there. Ok, maybe I enjoy eating at Chubby Chucks, but that's it.

Anyhow, this past weekend I spent a lot of time in Zelienople. And I actually had fun.

Yesterday night, I went swimming at the SV pool again. And I somehow managed to tread water in the deep end for a timed 30 minutes(There's a timer in the pool room, that's how I kept track.) Well, I'm dreaming to be a lifeguard at summer camp this summer, but I still have trouble with the 500 yrd. swim. But if I can run a mile in 10 minutes, and tread water for 30 minutes, a 500 yrd. swim should be a breeze.

Oh well, I'll get it soon.

Tonight I went to see a YACK (Young Actors Christian Kompany)production of "Godspell" at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in Zelienople. It was good too. There were a minimum number of guys in the show, but they still did well. In the audience, I mouthed out the words to every song sung there.

Oh boy!

I ran into an old Boy Scout friend, Mike Krysinski, there. we chatted and I mentioned my current camp work, saying I work as a special needs counselor at "the camp with the climbing wall in the barn."

Nice!

Originally I had planned another trip to Trammps, this weekend, but due to illness, ballets, and trips to NYC, it didn't work out, for this weekend. Oh well, next weekend hopefully.

So, I'll see you then.
