Three Malls in One Night

Now, I've been known to cruise through either Beaver Valley Mall, Ross Park Mall, or the Mall at Robinson. But tonight was a first. The first time I was cruised through all three malls in a single evening.

So, first I went to Ross Park Mall. I left my house at 4:15 pm, and I arrived at about 5:00 pm. I bought some stuff, for Christmas, and looked around at other stuff.

Then I left, at around 6:45 pm. Since it was still early in the evening, I drove down I279 to Rt22/30 to the Mall at Robinson.

I arrived at 7:15 pm. I did some more looking, and some more buying, untill my departure at around 8:00 pm.

Since it was on the way home anyway, I took Rt60 up to Beaver Valley Mall with an Arrival time of 8:30 pm. There I looked and bought yet more stuff, and I departed at 9:15 pm. I got home at 9:30 pm.

A funny thing though. Santa Claus was at all three malls, when I arrived. Somehow, he beat me there, every time.

Nice.

Well, that's it for now. Untill next time.

"Joseph" Day 5: First matinee with no slipups.

TOday we had our Sunday matinee. The close-out to the show.

For the first time, the matinee show had no real slip-ups whatsoever. Except for maybe a sqeaking voice or too.

Jess and Jason came today. They enjoyed it well. I remember while I was taking to them, Gary rushed over to say "Hi."

Great!

Now, I'm sad. The show is over. Then on the way home I heard to perfect song to end a perfect day: "Walk Like an Egyptian"

Wow!

So the shows "Inherit the Wind" and "Quilters" are coming up next semester. I'm not sure if I'm going to do "Inherit the Wind" but I know I'm not doing "Quilters"; it's girls only.

Well, that's it for now. See ya later.

Camp Weekend: I was there for a little bit/"Joseph" Night 4: What the hell did I do last night?

Today, after coming from the party, and doing some chores at home. I departed for camp. There was a camp weekend this weekend, but because of Joseph, I couldn't work it. But I did stop for the afternoon.

When I got there, I realized that I had forgotten the Jello Pudding Pops, for Raeann. So I left and came back with a box.

Once I returned with a box, I went with some campers on a hike through The Kon-o-Kwee Discovery loop. That was fun. Then I stuck around for the turkey dinner, and ate.

Whoo, Whoo! Free Turkey dinner.

I couldn't stay too long though. I had to rush too RMU for Night 4 of "Joseph." Once there, people were telling me about all the things I did last night. (I won't disclose what they said though?)

What the hell?

Fortunately, they were kidding. So, the show went well again, and we had a good time.

Later some of us went to Trammp's in West End; a kareoke bar. George Praskovich is known to hang around there. So this was his deal.

There I got cheesy fries, and sang "Afternoon Delight" and "Footloose" with the dance and all. Summer and Courtney were sort of doing the dance to the side as well.

Wow.

Sunday matinee tomorrow. Hope it goes well.

"Joseph" Night 2: A Good show, but backwards overalls.

Tonight, Emily Dewald was well enough to do Mrs. Potipher again. (Sorry, Summer) so we had her back, and the show went well.

Dr. Gargaro, said to me that I had too much fun last night, and to tone it down tonight. So I did so.

I did make a costume mistake in Act Two. You see the brothers wear overalls, with their first inital in the front, and a Roman Numeral showing the order of their birth on the back. I have a "G" on my front and an "IX" on my back. But I slipped my overalls on backward, and had my "IX" in front.

Oops!

Before the last scene, I switched the inital and numeral, which were velcroed on, so at least the "G" would be in front.

Despite that mistake, the show went well.

Tonight I just came home. I have a test tomorrow, and need to study for it.

"Joseph" Night 1: Keeping up the morale, despite hardships

The ideal photo to place on a "Greetings from Egypt Card"

So, on with the story.

Yesterday, during rehersal, Emily Dewald (who plays Mrs. Potipher in the show) had an accident and twisted her angle. So today she was on crutches, and unable to play her part. So, today, Mrs. Potipher was played by Summer York. Lisa Moran, our choreographer also got into costume and played a wife/courtesian tonight.

Okay.

Also, for opening night, I pulled a great prank. Remembering Jeopardy Mike's having a shit-load of red and baby blue balloons in the dressing room to boost his morale, I bought a dozen balloons, of those two colors, and put them into the dressing room. John then wrote "Cast of Joseph. Keep up the Morale" into an index card, and I tied it to the balloons.

I'll never forget Gary's reaction when he went into the dressing room, for the first time tonight. He walked in, then I heard him scream "OH MY GOD!". Unable to hold in the laughter, I trotted away. Later I admitted that they were mine. Gary said that, that was pure genius, and that nobody saw that coming.

Others didn't have such reactions to the balloon. Greg, I remember, just walked in, saw the balloons, and then read the card. Those, who didn't know Jeopardy Mike just thought "Balloons, that's nice."

Oh well, one had a good reaction.

Then we had a leaking problem, in the building, and water was dripping on the band. So the show was delayed a few minutes.

Joy!

Finally we got started. Despite the hardships we had an excellent show with a large crowd.

After the show, we all went to the Ground Round. Paul Spradley made some announcements, and gave out some "awards." I made an announcement too. "Cannonball!"

Four more shows to go. Also, I hope Emily's ankle is better, for tomorrow's show.

"Joseph" Tech week

Yes, we had a 10 hr. play practice today. It was long, but exhilirating.

When I got there, everybody was anxious to know how my night at the strip discrict went. Great, I said! Doug and Gary had their own stories to tell about it, as well.

So, the show is almost ready.

Few changes in cast though...

Katie Scott and Greg Gushard left the cast awhile ago, for personal reasons. So old cast members Bethany Gallagher and Greg Heid have returned to the stage to take over the vacant spots.

Then, Gretchen Blumle who was the narrator, was hospitalized with a throat condition. Lindsey Wright is, for now, and possibly for the whole show, taking over as the Narrator.

Wow.

Also, Pharaoh will be played by Nina Petrucci's brother Mike. He's good.

So the dances are going well, but still need some polishing up. I'm not in "Go, Go, Go Joseph" because of the Baker getting killed off.

Poor Baker, What did he do, to get dumped in the clink and then get executed? Because of my summer troubles (See "Camp Week 6: Sickness Coming On" post), I claimed that he spied on the Pharaoh's wife tanning in her back yard.

Might as well be a crime that I actually committed.

Then there's the "Joseph's Dream's" dance. The brothers work on that a LOT. And we keep adjusting it too.

My favorite dance scene is the "Song of the King" dance. The guys play fat and skinny cows in the beginning of it. Doug, Paul, Greg, Ryan, George and John play the fat cows. Lenny, Adam, Gary, Jordan, Aaron, and myself play the skinny cows. Then Kyle is Joseph, Mike is Pharoah, and Brandon is the Butler.

Nice!

So, the show opens Wednesday. Looking forward to it.
