Camp Weekend: Hand Jives, Flash Cards and Psychology.

This past weekend. I had my first ever camp weekend at Camp Arc Spencer. And it generally went well.

We do pretty much everything in Snavely lodge during these weekends. And a few campers and staff show up. So, on Friday night, campers and staff showed up, and we had dinner, hung aroud and then put the campers to bed.

After campers were bed, the other staff members were curious to know how "Grease" was coming, and wanted to see a dance. In "Grease" my specialty dance is the Hand Jive, but I needed a partner to show it, so I pulled out Andrea, to do it with me, and we showed the others how it went.

The next day, we had campers color and do some haloween crafts. then during rest hour, Nicole had me help her make Pre-Algebra flash cards. They were regular flash cards, but she was adding negative signs to the numbers, to show how to work with both positive and negative numbers. Since, I'm a math major myself, I helped.

Then we had a hay ride though Kon-O-Kwee. THen dinner, dance and finally we put campers to bed. That night, Jess performed psychology on Mitch. She asked him questions about his life, and why doe does things he does. it was interesting.

I had to leave a little bit early today, because of play practice. But I'll be back at camp in December.

Stay tuned...
