Class of 2003 Graduation.
Fire alarms go off at the worst times, sometimes.
I remember we had one about a year ago, on the last day of school.
Crazy!
Anyhow, it finally came. High School Graduation at St. Ferdinand's in Cranberry. I showed up early, because I was singing in the choir. I had some solos too. Anyhow, we rehearsed and then other students showed up. Finally we got into our caps and gowns and the ceremony mass began.
It was running along smoothly until 3/4 of the way through the Gloria. Then, for whatever reason, the fire alarm went off. Despite that, we finished the Gloria, but then we halted the ceremony for about five minutes untill whoever managed to shut off the alarm. Then we picked it up right from there.
Double Crazy!
So then we all got out diplomas. Were they real? Yes, they were real. Laura McAllister and Dom Petrick gave speeches. Dom's wasn about saluting those who he admired. He added in "I salute those of you who kept sing the Gloria despite the fire alarm." He also said "I salute those of you who can recite the Presidents in order." By the way, that would be me. The choir asng a lot of songs. And the seniors in the choir sang "There You'll Be" from the movie "Pearl Harbor". The sad thing is, I was the only male senior in the chorus.
Wow!
After the ceremony was over, we all got or pictures taken with family, friends, adn others. Then later on, I wnet out to dinner with my mother. Later on I went to a Bonfire at Krystal Gaudino's house. I wish I had brought my bathing suit though. She had a hot tub.
Oh well.
I'm gonna miss Quigley. Hopefully I'll adjust to Robert Morris University, when I start.
So what now? The school picnic to Cedar Point is this Friday. I have been looking foreward to this for a long time.
