Homecoming week 2002.
One of my all time favorite weeks at QCHS is homecoming week. The one week where you can go to school dressed up, and down. Concluding with a dance and a lock-in at the Sewickley YMCA.
Heres a day by day synopsis:
Sunday:
The bonfire. I wasn't going to go, because of a project due in Liturature class, the next day. Oh well, I finished it, so I went. It was nice and warm. They also announced the homecoming court. I didn't get in, so I was disappointed. Oh well.
Monday:
Pajama day. I wore slippers, and sweatpants to school today. I also brought a Scooby Doo stuffed animal, which got massacured. J.J. Ulizio said that I should hav known that that would happen.
Tuesday:
Crazy Hair Day. I just put some green in my hair. But some people wore wigs, some put beads and ribbons in their hair. The list goes on and on.
Wednesday:
Nationality Day. We had students dress in all sorts of outfits of different countries.
Thursday:
Halloween Day I dressed up as Danny Zuko. Unfortunately the results were disasterous. I got a detention for my costume. Why? Because it consisted of blue jeans, and the rule of the week was "No blue Jeans!"
Damn!
Friday:
School Spirit Day. I wore my Quigley JErsey, that I sometimes wear at sporting events. There was also a friendly competition, that day. Here, musical chairs, was just as much a contact sport as football. Then there was the relay. I had Krystal Gaudino, holding my ankles in the wheelbarrow part of the race. Then the pie eating contest was nasty. It was a lot of fun, even though the pesty Juniors won.
Saturday:
The Dance and Lock In. It was fun. The theme for the dance was "Hollywood". I wore a MGM studios t-shirt and a cowboy hat to the dance. There the homecoming Queen and King, Jen Ribar, and Kevin Cappatt, were crowned. ANd the dance proceded. During the dance, I managed a slow dance with Alexis Moses, and Laura McAllister, and we had fun.
Later, we all went to the YMCA for a lock-in. Despite our tiredness, we all played around on a sticky wall, went swimming, played basketball, and many other activities. Finally at 5:00 am, we were released. I went home groggy and cold, and went straight to bed.
